• Scleral lens in keratoconus: peculiarity
• Scleral lens in ocular surface diseases: peculiarity, lens abnormalities, and poor wettability
• Factors affecting comfort and vision

• Back surface design:
• Toric periphery
• Quadrant specific design
• Pentacam CSP and Wave software
• EPP
• Front surface
• Front surface toricity
• Front surface eccentricity
• HOAs correction
• Customization procedure with Eye Surface Profiler (EagletEye), Pentacam CSP, EyePrintPro (EPP)

17:00 – 17:30 COFFEE BREAK (with sandwich)

Evening Session - Hands-on (3 hours)

Participants will be divided into different groups

• OCT use in the scleral lens application process
• Use of Pentacam CSP for lens customization
  

• Use of ESP for lens selection and customization
• EPP taking molds of the eye

Day 2 - April 9: 09.00 - 17.00

Morning Session - Lecture (3 hours)

• Oxygen and scleral lenses
• Intraocular pressure and scleral lenses
• Midday fogging update
• Complications & management
• Excessive clearance
• Corneal touch
• Air bubbles
• Conjunctival prolapse

11:00 – 11:30 COFFEE BREAK

• Limbal touch & limbal congestion
• Conjunctival compression & indentation
• Lens edge lifting off
• Tight-fitting & lens adhesion
• Lens decentration & flexure
• Deposits & Poor wettability
• Corneal & conjunctival staining
• Conjunctival redness
• Microbial keratitis
• Neovascularization
• Fenestrated scleral lenses

Afternoon Session - Hands-on (3 hours)

Participants will be divided into different groups

• Scleral lens application and recognition of fitting issues

• Use of Pentacam CSP for lens customization
• EPP taking molds of the eye
